Lettre de motivation

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am a master student from Grenoble INP majoring in Material Science for Nuclear. I completed bachelor in Thermal Energy and Dynamics Engineering in Northeastern University in China. After I graduated from college, I changed my specialty to nuclear wanting to find a solution for energy shortage problem in China. I joined the European Master in Innovation in Nuclear Energy program and I have finished the first year of master in Nuclear Engineering at UPC Barcelona. Currently I am specializing in the Materials for Nuclear Engineering as part of my second year studies at Grenoble INP France.

I am very interested in the field of Materials science. I have a mechanical engineering background, which has been helpful for me to have a deeper understanding of this field. Currently I am focusing on Nuclear materials as a specialization at Grenoble INP where I am studying modules like Irradiation Ageing, Fracture mechanics, Microstructures etc.. I have prior knowledge of NDT, Fuel cycle, materials science and other core subjects related to nuclear engineering (like Thermal Hydraulics, Regulations and Safety, Systems-Components & Materials etc).

I am also efficient in Thermal-Hydraulic code: RELAP 5 having studied LBLOCA/SBLOCA accidents and some CFD related applications. In my course I also got the great opportunity to gain knowledge from professionals working at

CIEMAT (Spain), Tecnatom (Spain), CEA (France) and EDF (France), thanks to the sponsors of our course.

I have done a training in EDF Paris for one week last month, and now I am in CEA Cadarache for another training for three weeks specifically focused on nuclear fuel materials and analysis methods. I am doing my best to gain knowledge from the training.

I believe that with the benefit of your remarkable research facilities, I will be able to put myself on the cutting edge of the field and ground myself solidly in my chosen career. I would greatly appreciate it if you could give favorable consideration of me.
